Perfect for access control
(may substitute Adams Rite for some jobs-same quality)
All electric strikes do the same thing. What sets them apart
are their different characteristics such as voltage, current, size, back-depth or backset, durability,
lock compatability
and price. There are a lot of models made by many manufacturers so we have tried to center on just a couple brands and just a few models that will work the best with the most locks and that are also the most economical. It's always a good idea to stay a way from the very cheap stikes
that we sometimes see being offered at some hardware stores
and mail order companies. These generally are not at all heavy duty and don't hold up well. Security of course is also a consideration and these cheap srikes will give with just a little pressure.
The brand we like the most is Rutherford. It's among the most versatile and very heavy duty. It will mount in a wood or
aluminum frame. The keeper or lip area is center mounted and also enlarged to accomadate just
about any latch with up to a 5/8" projection and since the lip is so wide, installation
is easier.
In addition:
•Stainless steel face and mounting plate
•Shallow depth will accomadate most tight metal frame profiles
•Round corners on plate for easier installation
Dimensions:
4 7/8" long X 1 1/4" wide X 1 5/8" deep
Other face plate sizes are available but this size is the most common. Please email or call if you think you need another size.

IS TAKEN AWAY, THEY REMAIN LOCKED. THIS AS OPPOSED TO FAIL
SAFE WHICH IS WHEN POWER IS TAKEN AWAY, IT UNLOCKS. MOST
INSTALLATIONS WILL USE THE FIRST-POWER SECURE. IF YOUR NOT
