An optional feature is the ability to use an outside cylinder to control the latch mechanically with a key from outside. Use any standard type rim cylinder with tailpiece.

For an extra secure installation use the Brute lock with The CYPHER LOCK
Because it's a fail secure lock and surface mounted, it would be the perfect lock to use on a secret room or door. Unlike a maglock for instance it won't cause an overheat condition.

Minimum recommended wire size: 18 gauge The Brute uses a heavy duty 12 VDC solenoid. If using 24 VDC voltage it will increases bolt retraction
force and will not harm the solenoid.
