Brute Lock specifications:

Extremely heavy duty deadlatch type lock

Fail Secure (remains locked with no power)

Surface mounted for ease of installation and suitability for a wide range of applications.

Inside release knob provides for rapid egress.

Strikes available for both inswing and outswing doors.

Great for safe rooms because they can be mounted on the inside surface of the door with nothing showing on the outside. Since it can be unlocked manually from the inside and it's a fail secure lock it's fire safety friendly for non public areas.

An optional feature is the ability to use an outside cylinder to control the latch mechanically with a key from outside. Use any standard type rim cylinder with tailpiece.

An ideal security solution for indoor applications, such as ATM rooms, cash handling areas, research laboratories, etc.

Originally designed to be used with the S&G Codetronic� III access control device.

For an extra secure installation use the Brute lock with The CYPHER LOCK

Because it's a fail secure lock and surface mounted, it would be the perfect lock to use on a secret room or door. Unlike a maglock for instance it won't cause an overheat condition.

National Stock Numbers 5340-01-020-5681 and 6350-00-610-1962 can refer to any model of The Brute� deadlatch.

Required voltage: 24 VDC
DC coil resistance: 6 OHMS
Current: 5.5 to 6.5 AMPS
Minimum recommended wire size: 18 gauge
The Brute uses a heavy duty 12 VDC solenoid. If using 24 VDC voltage it will increases bolt retraction force and will not harm the solenoid.
