The single door System 1 (Model 1000) supports 250 users and each user can be added or deleted in seconds using the built-in Programming Keypad. The programmable relay can control almost any device including an electric Door Lock, arm or disarm an Alarm System, shunt an Alarm Device, or operate a Garage Door.
Users can access a secured area using Data Chips that are read by the chip readers. A Request-To-Exit button can be used to exit an area and a Magnetic Contact can be installed to report Door Ajar and Forced Entry conditions. For applications requiring time restriction of users and/or automatic relay operation, 3 time schedules with 21 time zones are supported.
Users can pass through an entry point secured by a keypad or reader by touching a Data Chip to the reader. The System then decides if the user is allowed access to this door at the current time and date, either grants or denies access and logs the transaction. Public access doors can be programmed to automatically lock and unlock according to the programmed time schedules set up by the System Administrator. System 1 can be monitored and reports can be printed from an off-site location using dial-up phone modems.

More on Data Chips or ibuttons:
Corby Data Chips contain sophisticated electronics to store a personal identification number in a coin shaped, sealed, stainless steel canister.
This superior design allows the Data Chip to be easily attached to any smooth surface including existing photo ID cards, badges, or keychains.
Innovative packaging protects the electronic circuits inside the canister from dirt, moisture, corrosion and static discharge.
Touching a Data Chip to the reader instantly transfers a 46 bit data stream of digital data which allows the user access to a secure area. Unlike
keys or other security cards, the Data Chip is user-forgiving... it doesn't need to be precisely aligned to transfer its digital data.
