  
The Detex Value Series® Electronic Delayed Egress Magnetic Locking Device (V40xEM) provides a secure 15 second delay and an approximate 100dB alarm when someone attempts to exit. This delay allows the store management time to respond to the alarm before the potential shoplifter can exit the store. The V40xEM must be tied into the fire alarm (sprinkler system, smoke detection, etc.) that allows a system override and immediate exit, during a fire emergency situation, per building code requirements.

Detex removable mullion
Operation:
TO ARM: Insert and rotate the key counterclockwise until the green LED illuminates, remove key. The green LED light will illuminate for 15 seconds during arming sequence followed by 3 chirps indicating the unit is locked and armed.
TO DISARM: Insert and rotate the key clockwise until the red LED flashes twice, remove key. The red LED will flash twice periodically indicating that the unit is disarmed.

Detex Value Series® Panic Hardware, when properly installed, used and maintained is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship. We will, for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, repair or replace any part which, upon our examination, proves to be defective under normal use. Electrical companents, when properly installed, used and maintained, are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. This warranty will be honored upon presentation of proof that the product covered thereby was purchased directly from an authorized Detex distributor. We shall not be liable for any direct, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising out of the failure of this panic hardware to operate.
