Great for signaling when a door is being unlocked when using an electric strike and DC current. Since DC current doesn't make a buzzing sound, almost all magnetic locks and some electric strike don't make any sound when unlocking. This buzzer simply connects in parallel to the two wires going from the power supply to your strike.
Power requirement:
12 vdc at around 25 ma (1/4 amp)
